Evanston is an elite suburb that lies north of Chicago and is famous for the diverse range of single-family luxury homes. However the downtown area of this large suburb is in high demand with students, staff and faculty of a university nearby moving in.
Downtown developers have been moving towards adding high-rises to create accommodation and lifestyle options that cater to the growing population There.
We designed Winthrop Club as a 15 storey tower with 99 luxury units, a club room, fitness center, indoor lap pool and parking garage to house 210 vehicles. A retail space is included at pedestrian level to add a revenue stream for the owners and to provide a social space for the new residents.
The project has been completed and has acquired a LEED-Gold certification.
