FitzGerald Associates Architects was commissioned to execute a Master Planning project for the historic Bronzville neighborhood, just south of the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Phase 1 of the Park Boulevard project was completed in 2006-07 between 35th Street and 38th street. However, with other vacant lots and dilapidated buildings available up to Pershing Street, the developers continued the Master Plan as Phase 2.
Phase 2 consisted of a combination of single-family homes, town homes, multi-unit and condominium buildings, as well as open green spaces. The master plan also included affordable housing to cater to the lower income groups living in the community.
The Architect of Record for this project is FitzGerald Associates Architects. Architect Shabbir Chandabhai was a part of the design team during his tenure with FitzGerald, from 2003 to 2008.
