BURHANIDESIGN was commissioned to design the interiors of a multi-unit building which was converted into a single home for a young family.
The clients were design-savvy and keen on an environmentally conscious design. As a town home, the house had windows only at the front and rear of the structure, with one skylight. We designed the space with an open plan layout to maximize the natural light and ventilation throughout the house, using area rugs, lighting and furniture to demarcate different spaces.
Working with the clients, we chose green products, used modern furniture, and installed sustainable mechanical systems for efficiency and a contemporary look. The project was completed and is currently the residence of the family.
